What are the advantages of buying a lithium ion battery for your golf trolley? Click here to find out…

  1. Plug in the lithium ion charger, supplied with your battery, into the wall socket and battery
  2. Switch on the charger
  3. The light will briefly glow green, then change to red to indicate charging.
  4. LED will turn green once the battery is fully charged.

Please note, to fully charge the battery it will take between 4-5 hours, depending on the level of discharge, battery condition and age of battery. A brand new battery can take up to 6 hours for its first charger.

Batteries carry an 18-month warranty, this does not failure due to mechanical damage from dropping or impact, or water damage, if the battery has been modified in anyway, if the security label is tampered with any way, if the serial number has been altered or the battery or charger.

Note: Should you encounter problems with your battery, the battery and charger must be returned to the us in order NOT to invalidate the warranty.

Types of Lithium-ion Batteries

Lithium-ion uses a cathode (positive electrode), an anode (negative electrode) and electrolyte as conductor. (The anode of a discharging battery is negative and the cathode positive (see BU-104b: Battery Building Blocks). The cathode is metal oxide and the anode consists of porous carbon. During discharge, the ions flow from the anode to the cathode through the electrolyte and separator; charge reverses the direction and the ions flow from the cathode to the anode. Figure 1 illustrates the process. Figure 1: Ion flow in lithium-ion battery. When the cell charges and discharges, ions…

Why lithium-ion is a superior battery system.

Pioneering work of the lithium battery began in 1912 under G.N. Lewis, but it was not until the early 1970s that the first non-rechargeable lithium batteries became commercially available. Attempts to develop rechargeable lithium batteries followed in the 1980s but failed because of instabilities in the metallic lithium used as anode material. (The metal-lithium battery uses lithium as anode; Li-ion uses graphite as anode and active materials in the cathode.) Lithium is the lightest of all metals, has the greatest electrochemical potential and provides the largest specific energy per weight.…

Lithium Golf Trolley Batteries – Questions & Answers

Q: Are these batteries compatible with standard lead acid charger? A: Batteries must ONLY BE CHARGED WITH CHARGER SUPPLIED. It’s not possible to charge the battery properly using any other charger.   Q: Are lithium batteries dangerous? A: No! Batteries are from LiFePO4 (Lithium Iron Phosphate) which is the safest type of lithium rechargeable batteries.   Q: How to connect to my Golf Trolley A: Batteries are designed for use on a wide-range of electrical trolley using various connection types. We offer an Anderson & T Bar as an option.…
